Lovely Afternoon Tea
Went for Afternoon Tea with my sister last month and it was just wonderful. The service was impeccable and the sandwiches and cakes were so fresh and tasty. We even had a glass of Champagne. I'm already planning my next visit for brunch!
Good dinner, slow drinks
We had dinner here last Friday and the food was really good. My Shepherd's Pie was hearty and my husband enjoyed his Lobster Linguine. The overall ambiance is nice, very sophisticated. My only small complaint is that it took a while to get our cocktails, maybe 15 minutes after we ordered. But the food definitely made up for it, good value with the set menu.
Reliable for special occasions
This was my third time visiting The Ivy Cardiff, and it was for a birthday celebration. We've done the Early Evening Menu before, but this time we went à la carte. I had the Roast Chicken and it was perfectly cooked, just like the Sea Bass my friend ordered. It's always a consistent experience here; the food is reliable, and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. We've tried a few places in Cardiff, but we keep coming back to The Ivy because we know what to expect. Good spot for when you want something a bit nicer.
